Barley Mow Village Hall is a welcoming community space in Birtley, bringing people together through activities, events, celebrations and local groups.
We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), registered as a charity in December 2016 (charity number 1170685). As a not-for-profit organisation, the income we receive from people using our facilities goes towards running, maintaining and improving the hall for the benefit of our community.
Our aim is to ensure BMVH remains a welcoming, accessible and valued community facility for generations to come.
Volunteers play an important part in keeping our hall running. Alongside our three part-time members of staff, they help with events, setting up rooms and the many practical tasks involved in looking after a busy community venue.
You don't need any special experience to get involved. Whether you can spare a few hours regularly or lend a hand occasionally, your support can make a real difference.
If you would like to volunteer, we'd love to hear from you.
